ATLANTA (WXIA) -- A day after the third anniversary of the death of two Atlanta Police helicopter pilots, there are questions about what happened to a monument put up in their honor.
It has been gone for months and even the victim's families aren't sure what's happened.
Just last year, not far from where the helicopter crashed in southwest Atlanta, the city put in an installment that included a plaque on a metal pole to remember the officers. After a car crash that wiped out the sign, family members want to know where is it and why hasn't it been put back up.
“It feels like a lifetime ago, yet it feels like just yesterday,” said Terra Smiley, when speaking of her husband, Shawn.
