Fulton County Family and Teacher Resource Fair offers education and entertainment

ATLANTA -- Children attending the Family and Teacher Resource Fair on Aug. 17 experienced the wonder of handling a 12-foot python.  The colorful yet docile snake was featured during the “Magic Marc” show, which was presented through a sponsorship by WellCare of Georgia. “Magic Marc” was recently a television show in Savannah.

More than 1,200 people attended the event, which included the participation of 500 teachers. The Family and Teacher Resource Fair offered education, health education, and information about extracurricular program activities for children as well as fun and games for young children through high school students. Parents and their children enjoyed dance presentations, bounce houses, bowling, skating and refreshments during the event at Metro Lanes and Games on Metropolitan Parkway in Atlanta.

The Fulton County Housing and Human Services Department, Office of Children and Youth sponsored the Family and Teacher Resource Fair. The event was supported by dozens of non-profits, private businesses and community organizations. For more information, contact Reginald Crossley at 404-612-7386 or 404-409-7761.
